CLIMATE
CHANGE AND ITS EFFECTS
A
Warning We Must Not Ignore!
Climate
change refers to long-term changes in Earth’s temperature, weather patterns,
and natural systems. Human activities such as burning fossil fuels, cutting
trees, and releasing harmful gases into the air are the main reasons behind
climate change. These activities increase the amount of carbon dioxide and
other greenhouse gases, trapping heat in the atmosphere. As a result, the
planet is becoming warmer every year.
The
effects of climate change are becoming visible everywhere. Summers are getting
hotter, winters are becoming unpredictable, and rainfall patterns are changing.
Glaciers are melting at a fast rate, causing sea levels to rise. Many regions
experience extreme weather conditions like floods, droughts, cyclones, and
heatwaves. These disasters destroy homes, affect farming, and harm both humans
and animals.
Plants
and animals are also suffering because of changing climates. Many species are
losing their natural habitats and are in danger of extinction. Farmers face
difficulties growing crops due to irregular rainfall and rising temperatures.
Students
can play an important role in fighting climate change. Simple actions like
switching off lights when not needed, saving water, using bicycles, planting
trees, and reducing waste help reduce pollution. Schools can organize
environmental awareness programs to teach students eco-friendly habits.
Climate
change is a serious warning from nature. If we do not act now, the future will
be unsafe. Protecting our planet is everyone’s responsibility. Together, we can
make the Earth a healthier and greener place.
