SAVE TREES, SAVE
LIFE
Every
Tree Counts!
Trees are the most valuable gift of nature. They provide oxygen,
absorb carbon dioxide, give shade, prevent soil erosion, and support wildlife.
Unfortunately, due to deforestation, urbanisation, and human carelessness, the
number of trees is decreasing rapidly. This harms the environment and threatens
life on Earth.
Trees are essential for maintaining the balance of nature. They
provide food, shelter, and medicine for humans and animals. Fruits, nuts, and
leaves come from trees, while flowers and plants attract birds and insects that
keep the ecosystem healthy. Trees also reduce pollution by absorbing harmful
gases and dust particles, improving the quality of air we breathe.
Planting trees helps fight climate change. Trees reduce the
impact of floods and prevent soil erosion by holding the soil together. Forests
maintain the water cycle, bring rainfall, and lower temperatures in hot
regions. A city with more trees feels cooler and cleaner, providing a better
environment for everyone.
Students can participate in tree plantation drives in schools,
parks, and communities. Even planting a single sapling and taking care of it
regularly—by watering, protecting it from animals, and ensuring sunlight—can
make a big difference. Awareness campaigns can also encourage people to reduce
cutting trees and protect forests.
In conclusion, trees are life-givers. Saving trees ensures clean
air, fresh water, fertile soil, and a healthy planet. Every individual must
take responsibility to plant and protect trees. When we save trees, we save
life itself.
