Story :
Shakuntala Devi, a Hindi film, is a biopic on the life of Shakuntala Devi famously known as a Human Computer. She was gifted mathematician with astonishing mathematical skills to solve complex problems in Mathematics.
Review:
The movie 'Shakuntala Devi', as is on the life of a Mathematician, is not mere a play of numbers and calculations. But it is beyond the number games. It explores her life journey from her childhood days to a successful and popular mathematician. It spotlights her spirit of being fearless and independent. It explores different layers of her relationships with her family members. This is also a story of complex relationship between Shakuntala Devi (VidyaBalan) and her daughter Anupama (SanyaMalhotra). Besides a Mathematician, the movie presents her as a woman and mother. She has a self-esteem being an amazing woman. Her dialogue, 'Why should I be normal, when I can be amazing?' is the testimony of her personality.
Movie:

The film has been artistically composed keeping in mind all the phases of Shakuntala Devi's life as well as the setting of the contemporary society. The lyrics in the film are melodious. 'Jhilmil Piya' a lyric in the voice of Benny Dayal, Monan Thakur is a soulful one. Making a plan to watch Shakuntala Devi with family can be a good experience.
