CHILD
LABOUR
Childhood is a stage in life in which everyone likes to play and learn. This is a crucial phase in physical growth and psychological development of a child. But there are some factors which harm the development of children. Child labour is one of the evils that destroy their innocence and lives.
Children are
considered as the gifts from God. So, we need to protect them and provide every
opportunity to excel in the fields they want. Unfortunately, it seems to be a Utopian dream. Today, a large number of children are involved in manual works
which harm their physical and mental health. Invariably, they are seen working
in hotels and on construction sites…..collecting the waste….begging in the
streets. They fail prey to the physical, mental as well as economic
exploitation spoiling their childhood. Mostly, the kidnapped, homeless, orphan
children are vulnerable to this inhuman practice.
Causes are many.
Poverty, education beyond the rich of the poor, illiterate parents and our
failure to implement policies and laws against child labour are some worth
thinking.
Being human, we need
to be sensitive towards this evil. Children are the futures of our nation.
Remember ‘tomorrow’s strong India’ can be built only by ‘today’s laughing
children’.
Stop Child Labour,
be a part of change……!!!
